Nick held a senior line procurement role at Nat West / RBS, he also delivered procurement transformation programs to Lloyds Bank, Co-Op Insurance & Financial Services, National Australia Group, Barclaycard, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank, Vocalink Payments Services, ABN Amro and Goldman Sachs. Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, and Ed have between them worked with National Australia Group Europe, Deutsche Bank, Macquarie Group in Australia, Barclays Bank, RSA and Legal & General.

FMCG

Steve has held a number of procurement and senior management roles for Diageo and Reckitt & Colman Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, Nick and Ed have between them worked with Brambles, L’Oréal, United Biscuits, AllianceBoots, Panrico, Godiva Chocolates, Novar and Hammonds Bedrooms.

Healthcare

Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, Nick and Ed have between them worked with Smith & Nephew, AllianceBoots, GSK and Philips Medical.

IT

Nick held Senior Procurement and Supply Chain roles in EMEA and USA for ICL Fujitsu and ran the Financial Supply Chain and Payments practice for Logica/CSC. Ed began his career in line procurement with ICL Fujitsu.

Manufacturing

Steve has held a number of procurement roles for British Steel Stainless (now Outokumpo Group). Both Nick and Ed worked for ICL Fujitsu. Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, Nick and Ed have between them worked with Aggreko, BAE SYSTEMS, Selex, Raytheon Corporate Jets, Airbus, BP Group, Hammonds, Heywood Williams, Chep, FIAT Group & Lotus Cars.

Pharmaceutical

Steve previously worked for Smithkline Beecham in a number of regional and global procurement roles. Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, Nick and Ed have between them worked with Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis and GSK.

Professional Services

Ed, Steve and Nick previously worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Xchanging plc. Nick held Partner/Senior Executive roles at Accenture, PwC and CapGemini Steve also worked for Atos KPMG, whilst Ed worked for QP Group, Sharemax Inc. And all have supported Liberata, G4S, United News and Media and Target.

Public Sector

Whilst working in Professional Services Steve, Nick and Ed have between them worked with the NAAFI, The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and The Inland Revenue.

Retail

Whilst working in Professional Services Steve and Ed have between them worked with AllianceBoots and Wickes. Nick was previously Group Supply Chain Director of Safeway/Morrisons.

Telecoms

Whilst working in Professional Services Ed and Nick delivered procurement programmes into Telecom Eireann and Cable & Wireless. Nick also worked with BT in the UK.

Our Founders



Ed Cross

Ed is a results orientated executive level business leader with 25 years global professional services, consulting and functional experience in procurement, supply chain and change management. Previously with Xchanging plc, Ed had Executive responsibility for running the global procurement and HR outsourcing businesses.

Steve Trainor

Steve is a proven business executive with 25 years success as CPO, MD and Procurement BPO expert, latterly employed by Xchanging Procurement Services as the Managing Director for the EMEA region; responsible for leading a business with a turnover of approximately £150m and staff of c250.

Nick Ford

Nick has 28 years procurement experience in consulting, outsourcing and line roles within industry with international experience across many sectors and industries and led many procurement programs with many blue chip organisations. Prior to consulting he held CPO positions with Natwest Bank, Safeway/Morrisons and ICL/Fujitsu.
