Whatever your political view Brexit is happening, though much of the detail remains unclear and continues to make for a great deal of media commentary and dialogue. The final outcome is not likely to be known in its entirety until, perhaps, the ‘eleventh hour’.
What is certain, is that it is an opportunity for the procurement profession to position itself more visibly and possibly strategically within their businesses as a trusted advisor, and as a critical player in managing the risks that may accrue from Brexit.
So, what is Procurement’s response to Brexit and has it moved on in the last 9/12 months?
Following on from our survey in the middle part of last year (2017), not long after the national vote we determined to re-offer the survey to identify if procurement operations and business leaders had started to take more than a ‘wait and see approach’ to the possible impacts on bought in goods and services resulting from Brexit.
