Date Posted: 21/03/2017 Category:

How to deliver a procurement change programme.

On Tuesday 20th June 2017, Odesma will be hosting their inaugural conference at the Churchill War Rooms in London.

The event, entitled “Making procurement transformation deliver” will see senior procurement professionals come together to discover how they can re-imagine their procurement function and the tools available to help them.

In addition, delegates will be able to hear from professional Triathlete Harry Wiltshire on how the positive growth mindset he uses to train can be applied in everyday business life.

All guests will have the opportunity to look round the famous Churchill War rooms museum as well as network with other senior procurement professionals. The day is set to be informative and enjoyable.

In addition, we will be presenting the results of our “Effects of Brexit on Procurement” Survey.

2.00pm       Provalido, Procurement savings trackers, Measuring Savings in the age of Value

There’s always lots of talk on the procurement blogs etc. about procurement moving on from savings and being all about “value”, but savings are still very relevant so Paul will discuss why and also go through some of the fundamental principles of good savings measurement and reporting.

2.30pm      Break and Networking

2.50pm      Paul Chappel, Procurement PeopleCloud® – Revamp Talent Management to unlock procurement’s potential

For over a decade, identifying and retaining the right talent has been a paralysing issue for all procurement professionals – baby boomers are retiring, the skills needed for success are changing, and the rising talent mix is insufficient for tackling today’s strategic demands and objectives.

3.20pm      Simon Barber, Global Indirect Procurement Director, Brambles Indirect Procurement – Transformation from Reactive to World Class

At the end of 2014, Brambles the World’s largest Equipment Pooling Provider with brands such as CHEP and IFCO took the decision to create a Global Indirect Procurement Team. Simon Barber has led that team from the start and his presentation talks about the creation of a strategy, designing a compelling vision for the team, the key building blocks and the various challenges encountered on the way. Simon will highlight the critical role that Odesma has played in helping to achieve success. The journey is not complete however the learnings so far are insightful.
